![]() Thankfully, the One-Handed tree makes Daggers much more viable in combat, especially if you perk into Dual Flurry and can land rapid-fire stacks of the bleed effect from the Bite Marks perk on the same enemy. Ooooh, I see! I've mused on a melee dagger build a bit as of late, here's what I've found: Necessary perks would be Quiet Before the Storm (silent spells) from Illusion, Demolition Job (sneal attack w/ spells) from Sneak, Runecaster (distant runes, 3 at a time) from Destruction, and Blood Money (extra $$$ for brutal kills) from Pickpocket.Ĭheck out the "Shadeling" videos on YouTube, great example of Sneak Mage. In one-on-one encounters without stealth, you can use Illusion or Alteration spells to disable opponents before blasting them to smithereens. General strategy would be to skulk around, scouting ahead with Ghostwalk and getting to a good vantage point where you can lay down runes or launch spells at a distance, and then start picking people off, readjusting and de-escalating through Illusion as necessary. Minor skills I'd say would be Pickpocket (for money) and Alteration (defense). Main skills I would pick would be Sneak (obviously), Destruction (murder), and Illusion (utility). That way, in head to head confrontations, you're not a complete wet noodle as you're still able to make people's heads explode. Simple: Sneak Wizard! With the Demolition Job perk, you can add sneak attack bonuses to your Destruction spells, doubly so if they're Rune spells, which get crazy strong with the right perks. However, this would be a great addition for a program such as a poetry slam, or as a catalyst for inspiring young, multicultural teens to write their stories. There does seem to be a disproportionate presence of poems from a female point of view, as well as poems that hopeful but may come off as overly sensational or optimistic essentially, unrealistic. ![]() ![]() Though many of the topics broached may be confused as "homogenous", this would be to miss the point of the relevance of shared experience, which the collection is striving to communicate. The language is lyrical, but accessible and realistic. The poems range in content and issues of style such as length of the work or imagery invoked. All of the poems are written and submitted by young adults from all over the world, as the editor puts it, because she wanted the collection to be void of national boundaries and that the experience of "being black" is experienced by black people living in different countries all around the world. The collection features poems discussing issues related to the black experience, from empowerment, to a sense of self and beauty, to pride and nationalism, and the experience of racism. ![]()
